What is CAD?

Computer-aided technology, commonly referred to as CAD (Computer-Aided Design), encompasses a range of software tools and processes that revolutionize the way products are designed and developed. It leverages the power of computers to assist engineers, architects, and designers in creating precise and detailed digital models of objects, structures, or systems. Using CAD, our professionals can easily manipulate, visualize, and modify designs, enabling faster iterations and improvements. Ultimately, computer-aided technology empowers our clients to bring their innovative ideas to life with greater precision and effectiveness.

What kind of price range can I expect?

With various factors like material type, quantity, and what services are needed, the price range varies from job to job. That said, we are always happy to speak to anyone looking to work with us and always factor in the budget when determining how to work with a potential customer.

Can you laser cut at angles?

We are unable to laser cut angles other than 90° (straight down) in reference to the top side of the material, however we can process this through a waterjet that offers a titling head, or we can machine the angles post-laser cutting.

What are the advantages of using laser-cut metals in industrial design and architecture?

Using laser-cut metals in industrial design and architecture offers several advantages:

  1. Precision and Accuracy: Laser cutting technology allows for precise and accurate cuts, enabling the creation of intricate and complex designs with fine details. This level of precision ensures that the metal components or structures fit together seamlessly, resulting in a high-quality finished product.
  2. Versatility: Laser cutting can be applied to a wide range of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and more. This versatility allows designers and architects to choose the most suitable material for their specific application, taking into account factors such as durability, appearance, and functionality.
  3. Customization: Laser cutting enables customization on a detailed level. Designers can create unique patterns, shapes, and textures in the metal, tailored to their specific design requirements. This level of customization opens up possibilities for creative and innovative designs that align with the project's overall aesthetic and functional goals.
  4. Efficiency and Speed: Laser cutting is a fast and efficient process, capable of producing complex cuts in a relatively short amount of time. This efficiency is particularly beneficial for industrial design and architectural projects that often involve large-scale production or tight deadlines.
  5. Consistency and Reproducibility: Laser cutting ensures consistency and reproducibility in the manufacturing process. Once a design is programmed into the laser cutting machine, it can be replicated accurately and consistently, ensuring uniformity across multiple components or structures.
  6. Reduced Waste: Laser cutting minimizes material waste as the focused laser beam precisely cuts the desired shape, optimizing the utilization of the metal sheet. This reduction in waste translates to cost savings and more sustainable manufacturing practices.
  7. Integration with Digital Design Tools: Laser cutting technology can seamlessly integrate with computer-aided design (CAD) software, allowing designers and architects to translate their digital designs directly into physical metal components. This integration streamlines the design-to-production process, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
